The work portrays a city of critical importance on the ancient Silk Road, the then capital of Turkish, Istanbul, also known as Constantinople renowned for its historic value. The city used to be a vital commercial center in the Mediterranean region as well as a must-pass city for merchant ships to or from the Black Sea. Ships with loads of goods are coming back afar from China, leaving the goods to be selected by merchants. And after that, they will again embark on a new journey.
