Childhood memories / 2013 / Oil on canvas / 80cm×100cm

Appreciation:Childhood memories are always distinct and profound and may contain one’s lifelong dream. The Estonian artist Aleksei Shatunov’s oil painting Childhood Memories is about his affection towards his grandmother’s companion and his sweet memories during his childhood. Aleksei Shatunov was born in Tallinn, capital of Estonia in 1981 but he spent a long period of timein Ukraine and Russia. The scenery of his hometown and his grandmother’s benevolence still remained fresh in his mind, as if he strolled along the picturesque and glistening lake in his hometown in Estonia where boasts the purest air in the world with his stooping and staggering grandmother. This workis in silver grey color which coincides with the Ukrainian and Russian academic manner and it looks as pure as the air in Estonia.

Aleksei Shatunov was born in 1981 in Tallinn of Estonia and now he is a painter. He has participated in the exhibitions in Russian Cultural Centre in Tallinn of Estonia, Pushkin-Mountings Art Museum of Russia, Haus Gallery of Tallin and so on.
