With its unique exhibition mode and principles, the Beijing Biennale has obtained the recognition and the support from more and more artists across the world. It is praised as both the cultural “name card” for Beijing and China and the biggest stage for paintings and sculptures in the world. The Ministries of Culture in Egypt, Guinea and other countries have been providing round-trip tickets for the selected artists to attend the opening ceremony and other activities in China for years. Chinese embassy in Fiji is also getting in on the act. This year, Canada, Austria and some other countries also started to provide financial support for their artists and the embassies of certain countries including New Zealand, Lebanon, etc. threw welcome receptions for their artists coming to China.
