On April 28th 2014, at the invitation of Dr. Hardy Boeckle, Minister of Embassy of Germany in China, Vice General Secretary of China Artists Association Ms Tao Qin paid a visit to the Embassy of Germany and had a talk with him.
The Vice General Secretary Tao Qin elaborated on the characteristic, the theme of the next session, participating modes and so on. Germany enjoys super power in art and boasts long and splendid art history. Many masters of contemporary art come from Germany. Famous German artists like Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer took part in previous Beijing Biennale which has been successfully held for five sessions. Art works from Germany artists always surprise visitors to the exhibition. It is hoped that through this visit, more first-class artists from Germany will participate in Beijing Biennale or even create works exclusively for the coming exhibition. It is also expected that China and Germany can seek common development in art and culture through the platform of Beijing Biennale.
Dr. Hardy Boeckle took great interests in Beijing Biennale and asked in detail about the exhibition. He expressed that he would send letters to organizations concerned in Germany to motivate artists to take part in the exhibition in the name of the government.
