On September 12th, 2014, at the invitation of Mr Kavula, first secretary of the Congolese (Kinshasa) Embassy of in China, the Vice General Secretary of China Artists Association Ms Tao Qin paid a visit to Mr Kavula and had a talk with him.
The Vice General Secretary Tao Qin elaborated the characteristic, the theme of the next session, participating modes and so on. Congo (Kinshasa) is located in the Central Region of Africa with profound, distinctive culture and art. Beijing Biennale has already been held for 5 sessions and artists from Congo (Kinshasa) have participated in almost every session. There are sculptures created exclusively for Beijing Biennale by Liyolo and colorful pictures drawn by Lema Kusa. The deep meaning as well as visual impact add a colour from faraway Africa, and open the door leading to this ancient and mystic continent.
Through the visit, we hope that with the efforts in common of China Artists Association and the Embassy, more and more Congolese artists who represent the level of their country could create first-class works for the future Beijing Biennale and make it more and more diversified and colorful.
Mr Kavula takes interests in Beijing Biennale and will write to the concerned organization of his country and encourage representative artists to take part in Beijing Biennale in the name of their government.
