On September 10th, 2014, at the invitation of cultural counsellor of the Embassy of Madagascar Mr Basile, the vice director of Beijing Biennale Office Lv Yanfeng visited the counsellor and had a talk with him.
The vice director Lv Yanfeng elaborated the characteristic, the theme of the next session and the participating modes of Beijing Biennale. The Republic of Madagascar is an island country which stands in the South Indian Ocean, opposites the African Continent, with beautiful landscape as well as distinctive culture and art. Beijing Biennale has already held 5 sessions, but there have been never participating artists from Madagascar. Through the visit, we hope that with the efforts in common of China Artists Association and the Embassy, artists from Madagascar who represent the level of their country could create excellent works for the future Beijing Biennale, and make the participating countrys’ art domain of Biennale more and more extensive.
Mr Basile proposes us to send a letter to their Cultural Ministry and he will forward the letter to his country for attention.
