On Aug 28th, 2014, at the invitation of Mr Joseph, cultural counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Benin in China, the Vice General Secretary of China Artists Association Tao Qin paid a visit to the counsellor and had a talk with him.
The Vice General Secretary Tao Qin elaborated the characteristic, the theme of the next session, participating modes and so on. The Republic of Benin is located in the west coast of Central Region of Africa with distinctive culture and art. Beijing Biennale has already held 5 sessions, but there are no participating artists from Benin. Through the visit, we hope that with the efforts in common of China Artists Association and the Embassy, Beninese artists who represent the level of their country could create first-class works for the future Beijing Biennale, and make the international art domain of Beijing Biennale more and more extensive.
Joseph takes interests in Beijing Biennale and will write to the concerned organization of Benin and encourage the participation of representative artists in the name of their Government.
