The theme of the Sixth Beijing Biennale is “Memory and Dream”. Dreams are beautiful ideals of people, hopes which could put an end to disasters, visions for pursuing happiness and goals which call for relentless efforts. People in every country in the world have their own dreams. It is a shared dream to achieve peaceful development and live in world of win-win cooperationbetween different countries in the world. The dream stimulates the vitality of us all to create miracles and a bright future.

Memories and dreams link up the history and the reality, connect the past with the future, and could be best placed to reflect the humanistic care of artists, arouse their passion to paint and inspire artists’ aesthetic imagination, so that art works can be as lasting as memories and as magical as dreams.
